LightSMS API Overview

The LightSMS API enables businesses to send SMS messages to customers for marketing campaigns, transactional notifications, alerts, and customer communication.

LightSMS is integrated with Paysera, allowing you to fund your SMS campaigns directly from your Paysera account and manage all communications through a unified platform.

API Base URL​

All LightSMS API requests are made to:

https://www.lightsms.com/external/get/

Getting Started​

To start using the LightSMS API, follow these steps:

  1. Create a Paysera account - Register at paysera.com if you don't have an account yet.

  2. Create LightSMS account - Follow the account setup guide to link your Paysera account with LightSMS.

  3. Fund your account - Add funds to your Paysera account. LightSMS will reserve funds automatically for SMS sending.

  4. Get API credentials:

    • Log in to LightSMS admin panel
    • Navigate to MISC → API
    • Find your credentials:
      • Login: Your LightSMS account login
      • API Key: Your unique API key for request signing

  5. Register sender names - Submit sender names for approval (usually takes 24-48 hours).

Access the LightSMS admin panel at lightsms.com/external/client/login to:

  • Send SMS manually
  • Manage recipient lists
  • Create templates
  • View statistics and delivery reports
  • Configure sender names

HTTP API​

Simple GET-based API with JSON/XML responses for programmatic SMS sending. See API documentation for details.
